ICML 2025 Oral Presenter Instructions
Poster
- Oral presenters will also present papers during the poster sessions. Information on poster presentations in available here.
Oral Presenters
- Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session starts and check in with the session chair.
- Information for your paper presentation is now available on your My Stuff page under Presentation History
- All oral presentations are scheduled for a total of 15 minutes (including time needed to switch between presenters):
- See below for more details; main track and position papers have different timing requirements.
- Authors should present from their own laptop. You will need to bring any adapter your laptop needs to connect to the full size HDMI cable at the podium.
- Please not use a physical laser pointer, the conference setup (multiple screens + online viewers) is not suitable for it. You can use instead your laptop mouse or a pointer that controls your mouse (such as a gyroscopic pointer).
Main Track Talks:
- 12 minute presentation
- 2 minutes for questions, plus time to allow the next speaker to set up.
Position Paper Talks:
Designed to inspire open discussion, that is initiated by the paper’s position and contributions.
- 8 minutes: Authors present their position
- 2 minutes: Authors present one or more viable alternative/opposing positions
- 5 minutes: Open mic discussion of the topic. In contrast to a traditional Q&A, comments do not need to be questions asked of the authors. Anyone can comment or contribute.
- During the final minute, the next speaker will set up.
