Invited Keynote #2

Markus Nagel is a machine learning researcher at Qualcomm AI Research in Amsterdam and leads a team of research scientists focused on model efficiency. He holds a BSc in computer science and a MSc in artificial intelligence from the University of Amsterdam. Before joining Qualcomm, Markus was working at Scyfer, a startup by Professor Max Welling which was acquired by Qualcomm in 2017. His research focuses on quantization, pruning and data types in order to make models more efficient during inference. He published over 8 papers in top tear machine learning conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML and ICCV including several oral presentations. He also authored an invited chapter on neural network quantization for the book “Low-Power Computer Vision”.
