Keynote speak: Min Jang - Co-Designing AI and Wireless: Toward Intelligent 6G System

2026 represents a critical milestone in which the foundations of 6G standardization are being established, marking the convergence of artificial intelligence and wireless communications. This talk examines the co-design paradigm between AI and wireless systems, with a particular focus on AI-driven physical layer (PHY) techniques in the emerging AI-RAN architecture. We highlight key directions including learned channel estimation and feedback, AI-assisted modulation and coding, and data-driven waveform and receiver design under practical deployment constraints. The talk aims to provide a structured perspective on how integrating AI into the PHY layer can fundamentally reshape the design and performance limits of future wireless systems.
