Federated AI Meetings Joint Reception

Place: Skansen

Free for all registrants to the Main Conference IJCAI-ECAI 2018. Common reception for attendees at ICML, IJCAI-ECAI, AAMAS, ICCBR, and SoCS.

The Federated get-together party will take place at Skansen, the world’s oldest open-air museum, showcasing the whole of Sweden with houses and farmsteads from every part of the country. The reception is located at Solliden, the part of Skansen, which is used for traditional and very popular sing-along events every summer. The venue is reserved for the joint reception from 18.00 until 22.00. The main gate at Skansen is open for the public and conference delegates until 18.00 and after that only open to conference delegates. At Skansen historical buildings and wild animal life can be experienced. There will be activities in the old town area and folk music will be played with the opportunity of trying out Swedish folk dancing. Don’t forget to bring your badge!

Directions

There are several routes for public transportation from the conference venue to Skansen, and it takes between 45-60 minutes. The following are examples:

Train+Tram

Take the train (nr 40 or 43) to Stockholm City, change to a bus (nr 69 towards Blockhusudden or Kaknästornet), get off at Kungsträdgården/Strandvägen or Djurgårdsbron, take the tram Nr 7 to Skansen.

(Tram stops: Norrmalmstorg — Nybroplan — Strandvägen — Djurgårdsbron — Nordiska museet / Vasamuseet (the Vasa Ship) / Junibacken — Liljevalchs / Gröna Lund ABBA museum — Skansen)

Train+Subway+Ferry

Take the train to Stockholm City, change to subway to Slussen, walk to the Slussen ferry stop, take ferry nr 82 (Djurgårdsfärjan, 10 minutes) and get off at Djurgården. Take a short walk to Skansen.
