ICML 2009 Conference Venue and Banquet
All three conferences will be held on the downtown campus of McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
The tutorials, talks and poster sessions will be held in the Leacock/Arts building. The Arts building, built in 1849, is at the end of the main road leading into the campus (see this here. Leacock is a seven-storey building, built in 1965; it is connected to the Arts building. A picture of it is here. To get to these buildings from the Milton gates (the second campus entrance, at the intersection of University st. and Milton) go straight ahead.
The workshops will be held in the Trottier and Rutherford buildings, which are located adjacently, at 3630 and 3600 on University st. (a little farther up the hill from the intersection of University and Milton, on the left side of the road)
The ICML banquet will be held on June 15 at the Montreal Science Centre (333 rue de la Commune Ouest) in the Old Port. This will be a special ``night at the museum": you can try your hand at being a disc jockey, watch a tornado form, or ride a unicycle 7 meters above the ground. And, of course, enjoy the Montreal cuisine, and stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and the historic part of the city.
