ICML-99 Instructions for Authors
These are instructions for the authors of accepted submissions to ICML-99.
Papers need to be formatted in accordance with these instructions
and delivered in electronic form to ProBook (Professional Book Center,
2050 South St. Paul St., Denver, CO 80210, USA, Fax: (+1)-303-756-5374,
probook@sni.net). The deadline is Monday, April 19, 1999.
This is a hard deadline. Please try to deliver your paper
in advance of this deadline.
Please download and print out the author kit
prepared by ProBook. A PDF version
of the author kit is also available.
Download and print out also the appropriately formatted
sample. Below is a summary of the instructions in the author kit.
Forms
You need to fill in and sign the
permission to publish form, of which a PDF version
is also available.
Otherwise your paper cannot be published in the ICML-99 Proceedings.
You also need to fill in the
lead author contact information form,
of which a PDF version is also available.

Formatting
For those using LaTeX, the files ml99.sty
and ml99.tex are provided.
The formatted sample above has been produced using these files.
For those using Microsoft Word, a draft template
ml99.doc is provided, also available
in ZIP format (ml99.zip). Since the same
Microsoft Word file can look different on different machines,
please make sure the formatted paper conforms to the sample.
For those using troff, we have copied the file
ml98.trf from ICML-98.

Delivery of formatted papers
The formatted papers should be delivered to ProBook in electronic form.
The PostScript version of your paper should be saved in a file named
pNUM.ps, where pNUM is the number assigned to your paper (e.g., p011).
This should not be uuencoded, gzipped, zipped or otherwise encoded.
The file (e.g., p011.ps) should be uploaded via anonymous ftp to
ftp.sni.net into the directory morespace3/probook/icml/incoming/
If your PostScript is larger than 3MB, you should contact ProBook
via email and wait for them to give you permission before uploading it.
