ICML/COLT/ILP Information

Registration Times and Location

The location for registration for all conferences and workshops is in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Building. Follow the signs. Registration will commence Sunday afternoon at 4pm and will be open every day during the week from 8:00am.

Venues for Conference, Tutorial and Workshop Sessions

COLT

All COLT sessions will be held in the Rupert Myers Theatre, except the invited talk, which will be in a joint session in the Physics Theatre.

ILP

All ILP sessions will be held in the Robert Webster Building Room 256, except the invited talk on Wednesday, which will be in a joint session in the Physics Theatre.

ICML

ICML sessions will be in the Physics Theatre and the CSE Seminar Room (on level 1). On Wednesday, one stream will be in the Red Centre Room M032. On Thursday and Friday, the third session will be in the Rupert Myers Theatre.

Morning and Afternoon Coffee Breaks

Morning and afternoon coffee will be served in the marquee is on the Physics Lawn, outside the Old Main Building.

Lunch

A buffet lunch will be provided everyday, 12:30 - 2:00pm, in the Square House (Anzac Parade entrance to the Campus).

Receptions

• A small reception for early arrivals will be held on Sunday evening (5 - 7pm) in the CSE Building, level 1.
• The main reception for the week will be held in the foyer of the Scientia Building on Tuesday evening, 6 - 9 pm.
• On Thursday evening, the ICML poster session/reception will be held in the Square House (same as lunch) from 6 - 9 pm. The room will be open an hour earlier to allow posters to be set up. We only have an area of about 1m² for the posters.

Banquet

• The conference banquet will be held on Wednesday evening in the Australian Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour in the centre of Sydney.
• Buses will leave from the campus Anzac Parade entrance at 6:30pm for a 7pm start.
• Buses will return attendees to the campus, leaving Darling Harbour at 10:30pm and 11:15pm.
• Please note! We have fewer buses returning than taking people out. We are assuming some will want to make their own way back after doing some sight seeing (and some may discover the casino around the corner from the Museum J).

There are regular bus services to the city from Anzac Parade:

394, 396 to Circular Quay (Opera House, the Rocks, Harbour Bridge)

393, 395 to Central Train Station (15 minute walk to Darling Harbour)

From Randwick:

373, 374 to Circular Quay (also go to Coogee Beach)

372 to Central Train Station (15 minute walk to Darling Harbour)

Email and Internet Access

• A lab of Linux machines will be available throughout the conference on Level 1 of the CSE building for email and internet access. Follow the signs on Level 1 to the labs "Bugle" and "Piccolo".
• If you have your own laptop, there is a set of ports in the basement of the CSE building that will allow you to connect up via DHCP and an Ethernet cable. If you have a wireless card, you can also run DHCP within the CSE building, but you will have to register the MAC address of the card with us.
